Maspeth Kiwanis was led this year by President Dennis Dowd. Sadly Dennis passed away on June 22nd. We will miss him. Dennis had many colorful stories and was always here for us in the community.
Our President Elect, Michelle Masone, has stepped up to take over the presidency a little early. Please help us welcome Michelle to her new office. We've started her year plus off with a bang, selling Popcorn at Maspeth Federal's Movie Night.
Congratulations to our own J.P. DiTroia who was installed on August 17th as Lt. Governor for the Queens West Division. Maspeth will be hosting the Divisional Meeting September 15th at Lenny's Clam Bar to receive the Lt. Governor Home Club Banner. Please put this date on your calendar so we can have a big turn out for JP (and get a pretty good meal).

We have many fine programs and we invite you to join us every Thursday at 12:15 PM. The Club now meets at O'Neill'sRestaurant, 54-21 53rd Road in Maspeth. .
We will continue to meet on Thursdays in the summer, so come by and have a nice lunch. If you haven't been by for a while, come on in.
Kamp Kiwanis is in full session. We sent 15 children this year and one Counselor in Training, There's still time if you would like to send a child to camp the cost is $600. The Camp has a waiting list of children of the Military and they would love to be able to send them. For more information please email Michael Terry at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Congratulations to Cindy Pietrakowski , President of the Maspeth High School Key Club, Sponsored by the Kiwanis Club of Maspeth, on her recent election to Lt. Governor for Key Club Division 8A. We are thrilled. We are also thrilled to announce that Kelly Chan, Immediate Past Governor of Circle K has been elected Trustee for Circle K International. Kelly has been a big help in getting our St. John's Circle K revitalized. She is a true dynamo. Congratulations Kelly.
