Maspeth Kiwanis is led this year by President Richard Reichert. We have many fine programs and we invite you to join us every Thursday at 12:15 PM. Alas, our long time meeting place, O'Neill's Restaurant has burned to the ground. For the time being, the club has voted to have our regular meetings at Maspeth Ale House. Come on down every Thursday. Wear your pin and get a prize. Bring a new member and get two prizes.

Our March board meeting will be Thursday March 29th. Nominations for officers will be held. Nominations from the floor must be made at this meeting. All members should try to attend.

We installed our new Maspeth High School Key Club on February 6th at 3:10. The kids, their faculty advisor, their principal and Council Woman Elizabeth Crowley joined President Rich, PDP Fred Strobel, VP Dennis Dowd, Lisa Terry and Lt. Governor Mike Terry for this festive occasion. 12 Pizzas, numerous bags of chips and glasses of soda were consumed in about 5 minutes! Maspeth welcomes our newest Kiwanians.

The Midwinter Convention was Friday February 24th. The club was represented by Secretary and PDP Dave Gigler, President Rich Reichert and Lt. Governor Mike Terry. Member Tina DiTroia and PDP Joe DiTroia will also be there representing the Middle Village Club. The Maspeth Club was recognized as a distinguised club. Congratulations to Lou. Now let's get busy and make sure that Lt. Governor Mike can make Rich a distinguished president.

Our annual auction will be held on April 19th. Auction items and volunteers are needed. Please see President Richard.
